         THINGS I THOUGHT
      YOU MIGHT LIKE TO KNOW

If you are a music buff, you might be interested in this para
graph that Ron Mitchell wrote about ADAMCON 05, which was this
years ADAM convention.

"Later in the afternoon, there was a MIDI demonstration by
Chris Braymen (Bonafide Systems). Each year, Chris brings along
some new goody that makes me drool with envy. This time it was a
$600 synthesizer which, when hooked to a keyboard similar to the
one I have, sounded very much unlike the one I have. Beautiful
music, all from an interface that retails for around $75 and
played on a computer system that's sold mainly in garage sales.
Mind you, you still have to have the synthesizer. I'm working on
that!"

If you would like to hook up a synthesizer to your ADAM
computer, get in touch with Chris Braymen at Bonefide Systems,
45280 S. Oakview Dr., Oakhurst, CA 93644, (209) 658-8530. I am
sure he can help you set up a music system that is just right for
you at a price you can afford.

Terry Fowler of ADAM'S HOUSE, Rt. 2, Box 2756, 1829-1 County
Rd 130, Pearland, TX 77581, 1-800- 999-5040, has begun the
manufacture of the MI (Micro-Innovations) Printer Expansion
Cards. These cards allow the use of a dot matrix printer, the
addressing (recognition) of memory on a Memory Expansion Card
larger than 64K, and instant BOOTing of software available on
MicroChips plugged into a special socket that these cards
contain.

Pat Herrington of EyeZod Software, tells me that she is madly
working on a new volume of graphics for us. The volume will be
specially designed to enable you to "blow up" the graphics files
on the volume to quadruple highth and double width to fill one
whole page. With tongue in cheek, Pat told me that the name of
the new volume will be "KABOOM!". Seriously, though, that IS to
be the name of the volume when it is com pleted.

As you know, if you have enlarged a graphics file to fill a
whole page, when it is printed, it has a LOT of jagged edges. It
is almost impossible to enlarge and print out a graphics file
without jagged edges. Pat is working to give you graphics files
that will have as few of those jagged edges as possible. The
volume will also contain files of letters that can be blown up to
poster size.

Pat says she is not sure when KABOOM! will be ready to go, but
she's having fun doing the volume. I hope she'll have it done in
time for the Christmas buying rush. I'll let you know as soon as
she gives me the word.
