"We understand that the last domain for classic computer information has been discontinued. It is our intention to pick up coverage for this well represented segment of the market, effective immediately.

Computer Buyer"s Guide will provide monthly columns dedicated to the specific issues and products of classic computer owners. Because this anouncement affects so many User Group Members and Bulletin Board Users, we thought it appropriate to contact you through your organization.

As you already know, we have continually supported these groups through our monthly publishing of FOG International's listings. We fully intend to provide coverage equal to the interest developed from this undertaking.

If for any reason you require additional information or merely want to share ideas and interests, please contact me directly. We are confident that the editorial direction of Computer Buyer's Guide will meet the needs of your members".

Personal comment by Rich Clee, President, MTAG: I intend to request our newsletter editor make a photocopy of this letter a page in his next issue. It is clearly of significant interest and value to our membership.

I also intend to suggest to our members who manufacture and sell ADAM materials that they make Computer Buyer's Guide the medium of choice for whatever commercial advertising they can afford. I believe concrete results in advertising sales are the single strongest method of encouraging the editors in this constructive attitude.

I shall further recommend to MTAG's membership that they make a regular habit of buying the magazine every month. (If we were in the U.S. I would recommend subscribing, especially at the very favourable rates, but the additional costs of postage to Canada makes newsstand purchase more economical here).

I shall also recommend to the membership that they press their favourite local newsstand to carry the magazine, and consider writing letters to the editor stating their appreciation of all ADAM coverage.

I shall also make some effort to inform the members of other orphan computer user groups of this new source of information.

I believe that any commercial organization that sets out to support our efforts at communication should be encouraged in every way we can devise, and respectfully invite any of those who agree with this opinion and consider the course of action outlined to be effective, to support our actions with their own similar endeavours.
