How To Fix a Digital Data Drive.

First turn off ADAM, and remove your data drive.

Then remove the door and eject button. Look at the spinners from a side
POV (Point of View). If one of the spinners looks pushed in, And your
data drive seems to be eating Generic Data Packs (Non Loran or Coleco).
Then this is probably your problem.

Take a pair of pliers and pull gently, but firmly on the pushed in spinner.
Make sure that you don't pull it out too far, or you could damage the
data drive even more. If it's a new model JVC#2 data drive, then it will
not let you pull it out more than needed. If its a Model 1 JVC or the
original data drive, I don't beleive those have a stopper on them.

Put the data drive back in ADAM, and try it out. If its still eating data
packs, then your problem may be in the amount of speed. You will then
need to get a Speed Tester, most of which, if not all are in the public domain.

If its does fix the problem, well then there you have it.
This happens because after a long time of use, it will eventually start
pulling the spinners in, THIS IS VERY NORMAL. Though on the newer style
drives it doesn't happen very often. But it did happen to me, and I
fixed it doing the above.

After you have finished all of this and you have put the data drive back
in, CLEAN the Drive head. When you had it out, with the door off. Dust
has gotten in to the drive. So you will want to clean it before using it
again.
