What is the maximum baud rate that the ADAM will accept if
you're running off of the internal video? I know that the max
baud rate on the card is 19200, however I lose a lot of char-
acters at that speed...1200 seemed like that was about it,
*maybe* 2400. Is the baud rate a lot faster if you use an
external terminal? If so, I'll have to make another cable to
hook to my PC. :) " End Quote

<sigh> geoff, yer about to open a can of worms, if'n you haven't
already this one was debated some time ago with a fellow in
toronto (can't remember his name) swearing & be damned that you
couldn't even reach actual modem speeds of 2400 baud. can't
remember exactly what rate it was but he says he actually measur-
ed it. many of us said that it was 2400 cuz that's what our soft-
ware TOLD us it was. then again, rich cossaboon had the pbbs
software running on adam connected to a 19200 i believe, and
seems to me that claim was that adam could reach 9600. now, the
character loss.....that's typical, cuz the adam tv screen can't
handle the data flow. in order to get things working right, you
either go cpm/tdos and into the 80 col world, OR you use adam-
link v which keeps you in eos and handles the data flow to screen
quite nicely at 2400 baud. i've used both and no disrespect to
any present, i prefer going the tdos/80 col route.
