                 ADAM NEWS NETWORK, OCTOBER 1993

This disk is being publised in November as a part of a double
issue (October and November disks are being mailed together).
I apologize for the delay in the October publication, however we
just did not get sufficient material to enable earlier
publication. For some reason normal contributing sources were on
the thin side during October, though submissions have picked up
in November. One advantage of this double issue, however is that
the the November issue is out earlier in the month. Perhaps we
can continue to get the ANN to you earlier in the future.

HOWEVER - you will have to agree that, despite the relatively few
"newsy" items in this disk - we have a DYNOMITE offering for you
herein. The largest portion of this publication is a MAJOR
CONTRIBUTION TO THE ADAM COMMUNITY by Pat Herrington (Eyezod
Graphics) and Bob Sebelist (Maine ADAM Library) and Sol Swift.
                                Bob Blair, ANN Disk Editor

GRAB FONT takes up the entire back side of this disk and is
SELF BOOTING. This is a previously unreleased program written
by Sol Swift and updated/enhanced by Pat Herrington and Bob
Sebelist, who decided to give this excellent and unique program
to all ADAM owners, free of charge.

Please Read the following documentation provided on:

The FRONT SIDE OF THIS DISK:

22. ANNADRES This listing of ANN staff, AUG's, BBS' and other
ADAM notables was updated by Guy.

NORMAN CASTRO has provided us with his newsy articles in the
following files:

23. OAUC1093-1 In these files Norman talks about some major
24. OAUC1093-2 changes in his computing activities. These
25. OAUC1093-3 include no more club meetings and the
26. OAUC1093-4 purchase of an IBM clone! Norm says he is not
abandoning us and we sure hope he does not!!!

Norman Castro also alerted me that several of the SBASIC
programs published last spring would not work properly as I (Bob
Blair) had improperly converted them to the ANN disks. We are
slowly correcting that and the first of these (an original
contribution by Faye Deere) is:

27. LUNRLAND Hey - this is a neat little program - try it!

Barry Wilson continues his series of articles in which he passes
along his experiences with his new IBM clone and its software for
the purpose of encouraging ADAM hardware and software developers
to consider similar enhancements for ADAM owners.

28. ART-2 A must read for developers, or anyone who is
interested in the future of the ADAM
